Jonathan

Jonathan is in 2nd grade this year. His teacher is Mrs. McClanahan. He's the class math whiz...he loves to do math. At home he likes to play "Age of Empires" on the computer, "Pirates of the Carribean" online.com with Dad & Hyrum, and play baseball out in the yard. He was able to be off on track break when the baby was born. He's been a huge help around the house. He, Hyrum & Dad spent 3 hours last Saturday raking up all the leaves on the East side of the house. He's been a real trooper, and is a great example to his younger brothers.

Hyrum

Hyrum is now 4 1/2. He's taking a break from preschool this Fall what with the baby coming. He will return to finish the preschool year and do his Kindergarten readiness program in January. He will start Kindergarten at the end of next Summer. He continues to be full of funny comments and the jokster of the family. On the day Taylor was born the boys all came up to the hospital to meet their new baby brother. Each was able to hold the baby for a few minutes. When it was Hyrum's turn Taylor let out a little cry. Hyrum abruptly threw his hands up in the air and said "I don't want to do this anymore! Take him away!" Consequently, Hyrum hasn't held the baby since, and makes a point to cover his ears whenever the baby cries. Hyrum's biggest interest at the moment is Pirates of the Carribean. He was Captain Jack Sparrow for Halloween and loves to dress up in his pirate costume even though Halloween is over. He's a great kid, and we are sad that he's having to heal a broken arm.

Talmage

Talmage is 2 1/2 and handling this new baby brother phase beautifully. He loves to hold and talk to Taylor whenever Mom gives him the chance. He tells us hourly how "cute" the baby is. All this comes as a great relief as he is the bull-dog of the four boys. He's very protective and selfish with Mom's time. He still loves to play ball outside with Jonathan. He's loves anything to do with race cars (he still asks us daily if we are going to go to the "Races" tonight...reminisce of going to the Meridian Speedway a few times over the summer), and his new found love is dirt bikes and motorcycles. He's all boy! At the moment he is not sporting any broken bones or flesh wounds. We consider that a blessing!
